ANGEL M. PEREZ, EA, CFP(R)
Angel M. Perez has been providing tax preparation and planning services to many of his clients since 1992. At the time he was a Firefighter/Paramedic in Sacramento, and as a side business, began preparing taxes out of his home for many of his fellow firefighters.
By 1996 he had greatly increased his client base, so he became an Enrolled Agent which licensed him to represent clients before Federal and State taxing authorities.
In 1998, after suffering a work related injury, Angel retired from the fire service. At this time he decided to expand his knowledge and tax practice into the area of general financial planning by obtaining his California Life and Variable Insurance License, his Series 6, 63, 7, and 67 credentials.
Consistent referrals from his original clients allowed Angel to continue to grow his tax and financial services business, and by 2006 he moved his practice into its current location in Folsom. In January of 2009, Angel formed Folsom Wealth Advisory Group, LLP with Michael G. Mouriski, CPA.
Angel’s educational background includes a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Davis. He also obtained his Certified Financial Planner's Certification in 2010 and is a Registered Representative and Financial Advisor with Cambridge Legacy Group LLC and Cambridge Legacy Advisors, Inc, and is licensed with the State of California Department of Insurance. Angel became a Partner and formed a Financial Advisory Firm, Ideal Life Financial Advisors, www.IdealLifeFA.com , in 2011 with Jim denDulk.
Angel is a member of the National Society of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents, CalCPA, the Folsom Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Metro Chamber.
MICHAEL G. MOURISKI, CPA
Michael G. Mouriski, CPA has been serving the accounting, tax and advisory needs of businesses and individuals since 2001. He began his passion for accounting in high school when he worked at his Grandfather’s accounting firm.
Prior to running his own company, Michael held various executive level accounting and finance positions in private industry. He was Controller for JPS.net, a private Sacramento company and Regional Controller for OneMain.com, a Virginia based public company. His experience also includes internal audit at Wells Fargo Bank, external audit at KPMG LLP, at the time one of the big six accounting firms, and mergers and acquisitions at EarthLink, Inc., where he was Director of Finance.
In 2001, Michael decided to form his own company where he specialized in tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and business advisory services for self-employed individuals and small to medium sized businesses. Michael’s practice enjoyed consistent growth and in January of 2009 he formed Folsom Wealth Advisory Group, LLP with Angel M. Perez, EA.
Michael’s educational background includes a B.S. in Business and Accounting from San Diego State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from California State University, Sacramento. Michael was licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in California in 1998.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, RAN ONE (a global network for accountants who cater to small and medium size businesses), and the Folsom Chamber of Commerce. Michael is also a charter member of the Folsom Lake Rotary.
When away from the office Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Petra, sons Addison and Brennan and daughter Morgan.
